Baker / Cook @ Paw Paw's Donuts | $15/hr + tips

ABOUT US:

At Paw Paw’s Donuts, we spread joy through our food experiences. We started as a pop-up bakery selling at the Crescent City Farmers Market, and we recently opened our first physical location in Old Metairie. We are looking for a part-time Baker / Cook to help us as we grow the business and delight our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have some professional experience with baking and cooking

Show up on time as a professional every day

Motivated to execute the culinary vision of the owner while contributing your own ideas

Have a service-oriented mindset towards our customers, teammates, and partners

Actively identify areas for self-improvement and welcome critical feedback

Enjoy doing repetitive work and working towards mastery of your craft

Be flexible enough to accommodate the daily challenges of a small business

Be comfortable with the physical/mental demands of kitchen work

Passionate about food and people!

DUTIES:

Donut / baked good production (mixing dough, shaping/frying/baking, filling, icing, etc)

Prepping ingredients and setups for sandwiches and baked goods

Cooking breakfast sandwiches to order at the shop, farmers markets, and other events

Packaging products for farmers markets and wholesale orders

Washing dishes and performing regular deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment

Assisting with product development, customer service, and additional tasks as needed

WAGES / BENEFITS:

$15/hr + tips (typically $5 / hr)

Free coffee, donuts, shift meal

Paid 30 minute lunch break

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Position will start at 20-25 hrs / week

Must have open availability Wednesday – Sunday

Early morning starts required most days (4:00am)
